Description : Noverka Conseil is looking for a Service Now QA to fulfill a mandate for a client in Montreal.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Created the test strategy, taking into account overlying business issues, dependant systems and the particularities of small detailed changes ;
  • Creates test cases and/or identifies existing business cases to test new enhancements and defect corrections ;
  • Provides estimates for planning purposes, including efforts required by direct and indirect systems and people ;
  • Creates strategy/tests cases for conversion date and or one shot (Data Script)
  • Executes test plans as designed ;
  • Documents all test findings in the appropriate systems ;
  • Actively participates in regular scrums ;
  • Communicates analysis, issues and findings with appropriate team members, using the appropriate communication channels in a concise, understandable and complete manner ;
  • Adapts to changing technology, learning and applying new methods to achieve the organization’s goals and following best practices for the broader IT industry ;
  • Analyze proposed solutions from the initial request in order to identify possible issues, whether through the conduct of functional tests and / or the business processes validated in previous versions ;
  • Evaluate the human and technical resources required to prepare and execute solution tests for planning purposes ;
  • Carry out meticulous follow-up in order to finalize the estimate of the time required for the preparation and execution of the tests and the components of any assigned project and for the duration of the activities ;
  • Evaluate, define, analyze test requirements based on functional and non-functional requirements, technical specifications, business processes and data to develop the test plan and write test scenarios ;
  • Match quality control needs with the availability of environments and manage their use to avoid interference and optimize performance ;
  • Proceed with the transfer of knowledge of the details of the integration tests of the solution prior to the start of the acceptance tests ;
  • Act as a test resource person and / or manage and execute all tests by referring the user units of the business units participating in the acceptance tests to the test methodology, to the test use of work tools or anomaly management ;
  • Identify risk-based test cases (changes) on critical business processes ;
  • Perform systems testing to ensure that they operate to business unit specifications and that they are free from defects and, where appropriate, document, manage, and monitor issues identified with business units.

Resource profil

Specifics technical qualifications :

  • Excellent knowledge of  Service Now Platform Solution ;
  • Pratical experience with Automated testing framework – Service Creater ( include in Service Now) ;
  • Minimum knowledge of ITIL ;
  • Demonstrates high-level of collaboration with developers and business partners ;
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) ;
  • Pratical experience with  Microsoft Tests Manager ;
  • Takes accountability for work assigned to push towards action plans and resolutions ;
  • Ability to work in a agile mode ;
  • Strong capacity for problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability and autonomy ;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills ;
  • Fluency in English and French.
