Our client, an educational organization, is looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager – Microsoft Azure Cloud.

Job description

As an IT Infrastructure Manager specializing in Microsoft Azure Cloud, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing and optimizing Azure-based IT infrastructures within our company. You will supervise a team of IT professionals, coordinate Azure-related projects, and ensure that our cloud environment is secure, scalable and compliant with industry standards.

Your role and responsibilities

Planning and Management:

  • Design and implement an Azure infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage Azure resources, including virtual machines, database services, storage, etc.
  • Track budgets and costs related to Azure infrastructure.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement robust security practices to protect Azure data and resources.
  • Ensure that the Azure environment complies with regulations and industry standards.

Performance Optimization:

  • Monitor and optimize Azure infrastructure performance to ensure availability and efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues quickly.

Team Management:

  • Coach, train and develop a team of skilled Azure administrators.
  • Coordinate team activities to ensure consistent service delivery.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with other departments to meet Azure infrastructure needs.
  • Effectively communicate progress, challenges and recommendations to business stakeholders.

Expertise required :

  • Degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
  • 8-10 years experience in a management role.
  • Significant experience 3-5 years in Azure infrastructure management.
  • Microsoft Azure certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate).
  • Strong team management and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure technologies and services.
  • Ability to quickly resolve complex technical issues.
